2028 of the FIM Supermoto World and the European Championships and the FIM Supermoto of Nations

Extending the collaboration that began in 2023 with the promoter XIEM, the tyre brand will be present exclusively for another three years (2026-8) in the S1GP World Championship, S4 European Championship, new S2 class and in the Supermoto of Nations
Metzeler has been confirmed by XIEM as the exclusive tyre brand for the FIM Supermoto World and the European Championships and for the FIM Supermoto of Nations up to and including the 2028 season.
Specifically, Metzeler RACETEC SM tyres will continue to equip all teams and riders in the S1GP World category and the European S4 category, as well as those in the new S2 class and the competition by nations.
XIEM, the company that manages the television, marketing and promotional rights of these competitions, has decided to extend the collaboration that began in 2023, confirming the brand as the sole tyre partner also for the three-year period 2026-2028.

Francesco Pietrangeli, Marketing Director for the Metzeler brand
“We are pleased to be able to continue this collaboration for a further three years by also adding the single-supply of the new European S2 class. Supermoto is a discipline that spectacularity makes a strong point and involves a loyal group of enthusiasts every year. In these first three seasons, our Metzeler RACETEC SM tyres have always performed up to expectations and we are sure that this has been a fundamental element in XIIEM’s choice to reconfirm us in this role”.

Danilo Boccadolce, CEO of XIEM
“We are very pleased with this new three-year agreement, a very positive cooperation that represents added value for our championships. A high-performance product and professional support are a source of pride for our championships, which are growing every year thanks in part to the renewed trust of such an important and world-leading brand, which rewards us and encourages us to continually improve.”

The Metzeler RACETEC SM tyres used in these championships are regularly on sale on the market and have been developed precisely to meet the needs of supermotards. They use compounds that have high silica content to offer quick warm-up and, at the same time, excellent abrasion resistance, while the tread pattern has central grooves perpendicular to the direction of travel, to ensure greater mechanical grip on off-road track sections while grooves in the mid-lean area are designed for effective and rapid self-cleaning.
