Josh Strang Podiums at the Mountaineer GNCC

Josh Strang put in one of his strongest performances of the year at the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Mountaineer GNCC in Beckley, West Virginia, riding for Liqui Moly Factory Beta Racing. The GNCC veteran battled the challenging Summit Bechtel Reserve trails with precision, handling tight woods, rugged terrain, and dusty sections while staying smooth and avoiding mistakes. His consistency and racecraft earned him a hard-fought third-place finish in the XC1 Open Pro class and fifth overall. Strang was able to maintain focus and pace under pressure, adding another standout result to his impressive GNCC career. In the XC2 Class, his teammate Jhak Walker struggled a bit on the day to find a rhythm during the race but stayed in the fight, ultimately finishing sixth in class at the round.

Results:
Josh Strang » 3rd Place » XC1

Jhak Walker » 6th Place » XC2

“Start dependent was the key to the race. I was able to get a good start and run in 5th, then moved up into 4th overall soon after. I tried my hardest to hold Ben off, but he was moving a little quicker than me on the last lap. I ended up taking home third in XC1. It’s been a long damn time, and I’m proud that I haven’t just given up; the fire still burns. To all my supporters, heck yeah, this is for you!”

“I wasn’t able to find a groove at the Mountaineer. I’m looking forward to the next race. Time to rebound and get where I need to be.”
