2012 Honda CRF250X Review

Our perfect trail bike has arrived.

It’s the machine that delivers a just-right balance of light weight, exemplary handling and tractable four-stroke power: the CRF250X. This handy, agile and thoroughly capable off-road mount flat-out sets the standard for 250-class performance among the off-road crowd whether you’re into racing or just fun-time explorations through the woods.

Skilled off-roaders seek a bike that offers an ideal balance of power and size, performance and handling. That’s why we built the CRF250X.

Based on our popular and podium-friendly MX racer, the CRF250X is powered by a four-stroke Unicam® engine modified for optimum off-road riding. We’ve also specially-tuned the suspension for the trails, and given the rugged transmission wide-ratio gearing to handle whatever conditions you come across.

Then there’s the electric starter that puts you on the fast track with the push of a button, and hot new graphics to boot.

So take a look at the CRF250X. We think you’ll like what you see.

2012 Honda CRF250X Features and Benefits

New for 2012

– Bold new graphics.

Tested on the track.

With a Unicam® cylinder head, this liquid-cooled four-stroke puts out loads of power over a wide rpm band for maximum trail performance.

Get going in seconds.

Our push-button electric starter offers all-around convenience, whether you’re starting out on your ride or quickly restarting in tough conditions.

Armed for a Shootout

The CRF250X has the right stuff to dominate in the dirt. Beyond its powerful and lightweight engine, the CRF250X has dozens of smart features like works-type front and rear brake discs, a narrow fuel tank that’s easy to move around, and an 18-inch rear wheel for more flat-tire protection. In short, all the attention to detail you’d expect in a Honda.
