KAWASAKI ANNOUNCES FALL RELEASE OF 2026 SPORT AND SUPERSPORT MOTORCYCLES

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R “636” remains a staple in the Ninja ZX supersport lineup and pushes the boundaries with track-ready performance that prioritizes confident handling during high-performance sport riding. The Ninja ZX-6R offers superior performance across the rev range with its potent 636cc liquid-cooled in-line four-cylinder engine and Assist & Slipper Clutch. It also boasts an eye-catching list of technology features that includes KQS, Kawasaki TRaction Control (KTRC) with three performance settings, Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System (KIBS), Power Modes, 4.3” TFT color instrumentation, Smartphone Connectivity via RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE*, and Integrated Riding Modes.

Nimble handling is achieved on the Ninja ZX-6R thanks to its race-derived chassis, allowing the rider to become one with the machine whether on the racetrack, navigating canyon roads, or cruising city streets. A Showa SFF-BP (Separate Function Fork – Big Piston) and fully adjustable Showa rear shock offer a high level of performance for the racetrack and the plush feeling desired when riding in town. Dual 310mm front discs ensure excellent stopping power, while Pirelli Diablo Rosso™ IV tires offer excellent grip in a variety of riding conditions. The styling is inspired by the Ninja ZX-10R, yet retains its own distinct supersport identity. Its smooth, flowing styling was designed to turn heads and capture hearts. Compact LED headlights, an intricately layered front cowl, and a sporty windshield bring a face to one of the most feared models in Kawasaki’s supersport lineup.

The 2026 Ninja ZX-6R and Ninja ZX-6R ABS are available in four colorways, Lime Green, Pearl Robotic White/Metallic Spark Black, Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray/Metallic Spark Black/Pearl Storm Gray and Metallic Matte Dark Gray/Ebony.

2026 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R ABS Totalmotorcycle.com Features and Benefits

636 cm3 Liquid- Cooled, 4-Stroke In-Line Four

The advantage offered by the Ninja ZX- 6R’s 37 cm3 greater displacement is significant for real world riding exhilaration. Greater performance across the rpm range is welcome when sport riding, both on back roads and on the racetrack. But stronger low and mid-range torque compared to “ordinary” mid-size supersport models also offers increased usability in everyday streetriding situations, like riding in stop-and-go city traffic or accelerating to pass another vehicle on the highway. Updates for 2024 include emissions-related adjustments.

3D Interwoven Bodywork

Like the design of the tail cowl, the front and side cowls use interwoven layers to create a 3D effect, with the multiple layers adding to the high-class design. The bodywork’s smooth, flowing design draws the eye from head to tail and hints at the Ninja ZX-6R’s street-focused supersport performance.

Smooth, Flowing Ninja ZX Styling

All-new styling is inspired by the Ninja ZX-10R while embodying the ideal supersport image. New front and side cowls create a design that flows smoothly from head to tail. Compact new headlights and an intricately layered front cowl give the Ninja ZX-6R its new “face,” while blacked out engine covers and silencer add to the supersport image and LED turn signals complete an all-LED lighting package.

PERFORMANCE OPTIMISED FOR ADVANTAGE STREET-RIDING EXHILARATION

With race-based engine and chassis performance optimised for the street, the Ninja ZX-6R offers riding exhilaration in a wide range of riding situations. While its roots give it a high potential for track-riding fun, its street-riding focus makes it the 600ccclass supersport of choice for a day of riding in the canyons or over mountain passes.

Definitive Ninja Face

Compact new hybrid projector/reflector headlights are a key element of the Ninja ZX-6R’s new face. Mono-focus LED technology is supplemented by deep-set reflectorsthat make the unlit parts of the headlight appear dark, creating a fierce expression. The front cowl’s intricately layered design is complemented by winglet-style inlets and angled chin spoilers to form a highly distinctive image.

ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY

Traction control, supersport-grade brake management, selectable power modes and quick shifter are now complemented by fullcolour TFT instrumentation with a number of new features including smartphone connectivity and integrated Riding Modes.

Integrated Riding Modes

Four integrated riding modes (Sport, Road, Rain or Rider (manual)) make it simple to select a level of traction control and power mode to suit the current riding conditions.

TFT Colour Instrumentation

The new 4.3” all-digital TFT colour instrumentation gives the cockpit a high-tech, high-grade appearance. In addition to smartphone connectivity, the new meter also offers a number of meter features unavailable on the previous model.

Large Brake Discs, Monobloc Calipers

Highly rigid, radial-mount monobloc calipers deliver a firm feel at the lever for superb control. Large ø310 mm disc brakes and a radialpump front brake master cylinder complete the front brake package, ensuring powerful braking with excellent feel. A ø220 mm disc brake and lightweight caliper slows the rear wheel. New round discs similar in style to those of the Ninja ZX-10R contribute to the strong Ninja ZX family image.

Sporty Windshield

Short windshield contributes to the Ninja ZX-6R’s supersport image. Like the Ninja ZX-10R, the front cowl supports the sides of windshield. Holes in the windshield relieve pressure build-up behind the screen to help reduce buffeting when riding at elevated speeds.
