RECALL OF KTM 125, 250, 390, AND 990 DUKE MODELS OF MODEL YEAR 2024: EXCHANGE OF FUEL TANK CAP SEAL

Valid for all markets

To ensure continued safety, reliability, and rider confidence, KTM is initiating a recall of the 2024 KTM 125, 250, 390, and 990 DUKE models. Affected motorcycles must be brought to the workshops of authorized KTM dealers for a preventive replacement of the fuel tank cap seal.

During quality tests, it was identified that some fuel tank cap seals may not fully meet KTM’s quality standards. Due to material deviations, small cracks could develop in the seal, which may lead to the possibility of fuel leakage from the tank cap area. To uphold KTM’s commitment to safety and product quality, the fuel tank cap seal on all affected motorcycles will be replaced.

Customers to whom the affected motorcycles have already been delivered are being personally informed by letter and are asked to immediately contact an authorized KTM dealer to arrange an appointment for replacement.

In addition, customers can easily check whether their motorcycle is affected by visiting the “Service” section on the KTM official website.

The replacement procedure will be carried out free of charge and exclusively by authorized KTM dealers, ensuring that every motorcycle continues to perform safely and reliably.

This recall reflects the company’s highest priority: protecting customers by ensuring uncompromising safety and maintaining the trust they place in the KTM brand.
